Pada 3 Oktober 2017, SMK Tun Habab terlibat dengan pemantauan bagi Anugerah pembestarian Sekolah peringkat negeri Johor. bagi Ketegori terbaik Pembestarian Sekolah SSQS 2017 dan Kategori Guru Bestari Cemerlang.\u00a0 Hanya 6 buah sekolah menengah dan sekolah rendah sahaja yang terlibat. Pemantauan akan dilakukan oleh pegawai daripada Bahagian Teknologi Pendidikan (BTP) negeri Johor. Semoga sekolah kita berjaya memenangi kedua-dua kategori ini.
